“ABN AMRO Lease is growing. In order to accommodate this expansion, on July 1, 2015 we moved to a landmark location in Utrecht. The reason for moving to ‘De Mirage’ was, in addition to accessibility, mainly due to sustainability. For example, we make use of innovative climate control to cool our hardware (using outside air); the premises has been awarded an EPC A energy label and for its interior and finishing we opted for the cradle to cradle principle. A great deal of work is currently being carried out on modernizing the various offices, and the business parks are receiving a facelift. As a result, many international firms are keen to have their offices in Utrecht.
We have deliberately chosen to stay in Utrecht. The central location and accessibility, both by car and public transport, make the city the best place to have our headquarters. What’s more, there’s an excellent connection between Utrecht and Schiphol Airport. Our foreign business contacts can get to our office in no time. And the quality of life here is pretty high. Utrecht has a wonderful city center, pleasant restaurants, good shops, interesting museums and impressive music venues. And all this within walking distance from one another.”
